Threadtail conger
The Threadtail conger (''Uroconger syringinus'', also known as the Slender-tail conger〔(Common names of ''Uroconger syringinus'' ) at www.fishbase.org.〕) is an eel in the family Congridae (conger/garden eels).〔(''Uroconger syringinus'' ) at www.fishbase.org.〕 It was described by Isaac Ginsburg in 1954.〔Ginsburg, I., 1954 (Aug.) (12645 ) ''Four new fishes and one little-known species from the east coast of the United States including the Gulf of Mexico.'' Journal of the Washington Academy of Sciences v. 44 (no. 8): 256-264.〕 It is a marine, subtropical eel which is known from the eastern and western Atlantic Ocean, including the Gulf of Guinea, the Gulf of Mexico and Suriname. It is known to dwell at a depth range of . Males can reach a maximum total length of .〔
